The DBF-Deutsche Basalt Faser GmbH is the first basalt fibre manufacturer in the European Union, producing in Sangerhausen, Germany since 2008. The filaments are continuously compared to spun basalt wool technologies. Long-term experience and know-how enable us to produce fibres with energy efficiency and constant fibre quality.
Continuous research and development results in modified basalt fibers which serve new areas of application. Flexibility in the production process enables customized solutions. One of the latest achievements is the alkaline-resistant coating for chopped fibers in concrete. Our clients participate in this competitive advantage.
Our production in Germany guarantees high quality, short delivery times and delivery safety. Using an innovative process development, the performance of basalt fiber applications is continuously optimized.
In cooperation with our partners, different applications from basalt fibers are presented such as woven biaxial textiles or twisted yarns. Depending on customer demand, we can develop different solutions.
All relevant production processes are patented globally.
